Sunday Services
The Sunday service starts at 9:30 AM. Masks are optional. Masks are provided for those who would like to wear them. Click here for further information on protocols to maintain the well-being of our parishioners. Click here for information on each Sunday's service. Daycare service is provided every Sunday.
Sunday School is held on the first Sunday of each month. A "Kids' Corner" is available in the back of the sanctuary. Click here for more information on our Youth Program.

SECOND CHURCH--An Experiment in Fellowship every Sunday after the service
For many people, the worship service - First Church - is their only experience of church. What would happen in a congregation if it also had Second Church, a chance for people to connect more deeply with each other, and to connect that First Church faith with their Monday-Saturday “real” lives?
Darreby and Michael Ambler from the Diocese of Maine are excited to introduce St Bart’s to the Second Church program. The program started September 17th after worship, with groups meeting in the Chapel and the Library upstairs. Click here for further details. All are welcome to participate each Sunday as they can!

- Deep Dives: Province 1 Indigenous Relations Book Group starts January 10m 2024 via Zoom.
- Book-of-Two-Months Club January-February 2024 selection is Eve Isn’t Evil: Feminist Readings in the Bible to Upend Our Assumptions by the Rev. Dr. Julie Faith Parker.
- Weekly Bible Study continues on Wednesday mornings at 10 AM in the Sanctuary. We have started the Book of Exodus.

Upcoming Events
Adult Education Advent Series starting November 26th

This guided discussion series will focus on Light of the World: A Beginner's Guide to Advent by Amy-Jill Levine. The discussion will be led by Elizabeth Ring on Sundays from 3:00 to 4:30, November 26, December 3, and December 10 with the possibility of a fourth meeting after Christmas. Don't miss this annual fun event with terrific offerings from the Silent Auction, Baked Goods, Frozen dinners, Crafts, Jewelry, Scarves and handbags, Fudge, Greens and Wreaths.

Holiday Sing Along: December 9th from 4 PM
A new offering from St. Bart's--An old-fashioned sing-along of your holiday favorites, so bring friends and families of all ages to help us ‘sing in the holidays’. Hot cocoa, cider and cookies will be served.
We also will be collecting non-perishable food items for a Holiday food drive which will be distributed to local food pantries.
A fun event for the whole family and community!

The first incarnation used nine readings, intermixed with carols, to tell the story of the Christmas season in words and song. It has since became immensely popular and is an annual favorite. Join us for this festive celebration of the Christmas Season!

15th Yarmouth Art Festival held October 18th -21st sets new records

The Art Show is a premier juried showcase for Maine artists since 2009.
The online show and sale continued through Nov. 4. A total of 683 pieces were submitted by 186 artists from all over Maine, and jurors were challenged to select only 165 pieces that can be displayed in our space.
A record 86 pieces were sold netting over $15,000, another record.
All proceeds will go to St. Elizabeth’s Essentials Pantry; Friendship House; Greater Portland Family Promise (GPFP); In Her Presence (IHP); and Yarmouth, Falmouth, Cumberland and Freeport Food Pantries. Many thanks to the 40+ volunteers who made the 2023 show a success!

St. Bart's hosts the Annual Maine Marathon Water Stop again this year
Thanks to all the St Bart's folks who helped out on October 1st at this year's official Water Stop. Always a fun event for all and much appreciated by the runners. Our volunteers all received a snazzy t-shirt for the Maine Marathon organization.

Welcome back Sunday celebrates new members and our school kids
Church service on September 10th was filled with 18 new members/families and our children who attended the first Sunday school class of the season. Rev. Amanda offered a special blessing to our school kids and their backpacks. New members gathered at the altar for a special blessing and welcome from Rev. Amanda.

Summer Tennis on Thursday Evenings
Many parishioners have enjoyed the Summer tennis “come as you can” doubles round robin on Thursday evenings from 5-7 pm at the Wildwood clay court in Cumberland.

Our Annual Lobster Bake to Go held August 11th successful again!
We sold 91 lobster dinners and raised over $4,500 including donations. All proceeds go to the Yarmouth Compassionate Housing Initiative. Thanks to the Membership Committee for pulling it all together, and especially to Captain Jeff Diggins for his many hours spent lobstering and cooking the lobsters for all us to enjoy Saturday evening.

1st Annual Family Cornhole Tournament held July 31st
We were blessed with a beautiful Sunday for this fun event. All ages and skill levels participated. Thanks to all who donated their cornhole games. We all agreed we should do this again!

Seadogs Game--Family fun event held June 24th
The rain held off for the St Bart's contingent, our last family event of the school year. Thanks to Pal Cove, Education Committee member, for organizing the event and reserving a special section in the stands for a well-attended event. This could be the start of an annual outing to the game!
Bishop of Maine Thomas Brown worships with us on May 7th
Bishop Brown spent Sunday morning, May 7, at St. Bart's, celebrating worship with us and consecrating the Memorial Garden. It was a wonderful few hours having our Bishop in our midst and celebrating the Memorial Garden together.

1st Annual Day of Service held Saturday May 6th deemed a resounding success
Sponsored by the Youth Education Committee and The Outreach Committee, our first Day of Service drew 50 participants of all ages who volunteered at four local non-profit organizations: Growing To Give, Partners for World Health, Furniture Friends and Maine Needs. After serving, all gathered back at church for hot dogs and hamburgers.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper Palooza for Youth, Families and New Members--a great turnout!
The Youth Education Committee and Membership Committee co-sponsored a Shrove Tuesday Supper on February 21st from 6 - 8 PM. We filled the sanctuary with 40 folks of all ages. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit and beverages were served. We also had a table of Family games to play while the food was being prepared and served. Thanks to Mary Curlew for organizing this fun event.

Sledding Party for Youth and Families--All ages participated on January 22nd
The Youth Education Committee was excited to hold this month's special youth and family event of Sledding at 2pm at Val Halla Golf & Recreation in Cumberland. This event was open to families, children, and all St. Bart's parishioners. Participants brought plenty of sleds and hot cocoa was served to keep sledders warm.
