Second Annual Day of Service has another great turnout
A total of 47 parishioners, including families and new members, participated in our second Day of Service.  We fulfilled 50 orders for clothing, kitchenware, and bath supplies at Maine Needs.  We planted lots of cabbage and onions at Growing 2 Give.  We played games with children at Greater Portland Family Promise and packed supplies for Partners for World Health.  Volunteers were rewarded with a delicious lunch back at St Bart’s, thanks to the hard work of Michele Johns, Deb Wathen-Finn and their cooking team.  Thanks to all!

Spring Youth Service Program
Each spring the Youth program at St. Bart's chooses a community outreach organization to support. This year we chose the emergency domestic violence shelter, Through These Doors, located in Portland.  Our congregation donated comforters, bed sheets,  pajamas, coffee maker, coffee press,  packs of diapers, potholders, underwear/bras,  body wash, conditioner,  lotion,  deodorant and  toothpaste.

Thank you for keeping the “light” of love and hope and peace shining for those experiencing domestic violence in our community!

St. Bart's families donate 20 Kits to Maine Needs!
As part of the Education program's Youth Spring Service Project for our Sunday School kids, our families contributed 20 "kits" to donate to the non-profit organization Maine Needs.  Maine Needs will send these kits to families in need.  The "kits" varied from "Moment for Mom" to "Spring Care" to "Cleaning and Toiletries."  Our Education Coordinator, Pal Covie, said the non-profit was "thrilled and so thankful" for our donations.  Thank you, St Bart’s kids and families!
