Supporting St. Bart's
There are many ways to financially support St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church and our various ministries.

Online Giving
For those interested in the security and ease of online payments, we offer a secure and confidential payment method that can be used with your credit/debit card, checking account, or savings account.  There are options to make a one-time gift or set up recurring gifts.  Click here for the safe and secure online giving form.  Use the down arrow on the Fund line on the form to select options for giving:   Current year Operating Budget,  Flowers & Music Fund, the Rector's Discretionary Fund, or occasional other fund options.

Automatic Bank Payment
If your bank offers a bill payment service, we are happy to receive payments directly from your bank.  Please contact your bank for more information on how to use this option.

Checks
Checks should be made payable to “St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church,” (or simply to “St. Bart’s”), and mailed to the parish office, 396 Gilman Rd, Yarmouth ME 04096.  Please include a note if your gift is for a specific ministry, the current year Operating Budget or the Capital Campaign.

Gifts of stock
We are very happy to receive gifts of stock.
When you donate appreciated stock, you avoid paying capital gains tax on the profit the stock has gained.  Also, you can potentially receive an income tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock on the day you transfer it.  Please use the following procedures:

1. Contact your broker and indicate the stock and number of shares you would like to contribute. Instruct your broker to transfer the shares to:
     Hightower Investment Advisors
     DTC 0226
     St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church
     Acct: HTZ-029017
     Contact:            Monica Cormier
     Phone:              (207) 420-8510
     Email link:        Monica Cormier

You must ask your broker to include your name with the transfer information.

2. Ask your broker to send a letter specifying your name, the stock, the number of shares, the mean value per share,  the date of transfer and if the funds should go to the current year Operating Budget or other funds to:
     St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church
     Attn: Treasurer
     396 Gilman Road
     Yarmouth, ME 04096

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) from an IRA
Individuals aged 70 1/2 or older can make a tax-free distribution (QCD) directly from an IRA to St. Bart's potentially satisfying part or all of their annual Required Minimum Distribution.
The individual does not pay income tax on the QCD amount, and it is not deductible. This tax planning strategy can help individuals who don't itemize their deductions have a tax benefit from the donation.

Pledging
We invite all who are able to make an annual pledge to St. Bart’s.  Our annual pledge campaign is conducted each fall for the upcoming year, but pledges are welcome throughout the year.  Click here to make a pledge to the 2026 Operating Budget.   Pledge commitments can be fulfilled using any of the payment methods listed above.
