Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a nametag? Do I have to be a member?
Anyone can get a nametag at St. Bart's. In fact, we encourage new people to get them so we can remember your name! Please write your name on the notepad hanging in the nametag are of the church entrance and our Administrator will create your nametag and hang it under your last name.

How can I sign up for the weekly email newsletter?
There are two ways to sign up. You can go to the bottom of the screen on any page of our website and fill in  your email and click "Get Newsletter." Or, you can sign the book just to the left of the door as you walk into the building and check yes for getting the newsletter. Make sure to include your email address.  Please also add your regular address so you can receive any church correspondence through the mail.

I'm interested in getting myself or my child baptized.
Please contact the office ([email protected]) or the minister ([email protected]) to discuss baptism.

I'm interested in having my child confirmed.
Please contact a member of the Youth Education Committee for information on our current programs:

How do I officially become a member of the church?
We welcome new members a few times a year during our worship service. If you were attending another church, you can ask us to request a letter of transfer from your previous church, but this is not necessary.  We ask you to fill out a form with your information so we can add you to the church directory.

Do I need to pledge to be a member?
Not sure what the answer should be here.  I'll ask the membership folks.  This is a tricky question because people have different definitions for "member".

Who can I talk with about becoming a member or other questions I have about the church?
Please contact or Membership Committee Chairs who can help you out:
Anne Berg
Susie Soule
Of course, a great way to learn more is to set up a time to chat with the minister ([email protected]).

How do I get involved with the volunteer and other activities of the church?
We have a wide variety of ways that members share their gifts. As you become a member, you can fill out a form about your skills and interests and how you might want to get involved. You can find out about all the different committees and teams in our Engagement Brochure (add link) or by clicking on the Committees page (add link) in the website.  You are very welcome to email the person responsible for a specific activity/program to inquire about it. You can also talk with the minister if you are unsure what the best way for you to get involved might be.
